For fifteen years, living overseas

Hanging on a thread of memory

Mr Chan Tin (1) was imprisoned at no time
One should wonder about Manh Hao (2), Thu Huong (3)
Loud critics, yet, never been short of pays
Fifteen years are so fast burned

(1) Chan Tin, a Catholic priest, one of the leaders of
the antiwar movement in Saigon before 1975.
(2) & (3)Tran Manh Hao and Duong Thu Huong, both
committed communist writers, criticizing corruptions and the poor
handling of the country by the communist government.
Either theýre mouthpieces of one faction against
others, or pawns of a political rusẹ Ođly enough, Duong
Thu Huong had some contacts with Dr Bui Duy Tam, a self
promoted political activist-opportunist from US, but
she apparently has not been harmed.
(4) Kieu, main character in the story of Kieu, had sold
herself to save her father from imprisonment, then
lived through 15 years in prostitution.
